    Constructed as a F-105B-10-RE by Republic at Farmindale, New York, USA.

    1 February 1959

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 57-5783.

    5 February 1959

    To 335th TFS, 4th TFW, Eglin AFB, FL.

    18 July 1959

    Base of operations changed.
    Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC.

    January 1960

    Damaged.
    A crew chief started the aircraft for a run-up check. The fuel control was stuck at full military causing the engine to reach ninety-five percent of RPM before the crewman could stopcock the throttle. The aircraft jumped its chocks dragging with it the MA-2 used for starting. Before the aircraft could be stopped, it collided with two other parked F-105s. Damage to the parked F-105s, 57-5831 and 57-5781, was minor and both were back in commission not long after. 57-5783 was much more damaged and was out of commission for several months.

    Transferred to 336th TFS, 4th TFW, Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC.

    31 October 1964

    Transferred to 141st TFS, 108th TFG, New Jersey ANG, McGuire AFB, NJ.
    Operated with markings: NJ

    29 April 1981

    Last flight.
    Flown by USAF pilot Lt. Col. Russell R. Schoonover to Fairchild-Republic factory on Long Island.
