    Constructed as a F-14A-20-GR by Grumman at Calverton, New York, USA.
    This was the 5th protype and was used to demonstrate systems compatibility.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 157984.

    Loaned to Grumman Corporation, Calverton, Long Island, NY.

    Circa 1971

    5th prototype, used to demonstrate systems compatibility. Spent its entire active career as a protoype flight testing aircraft, evaluating different systems and layouts under the operational control of Grumman.

    Transferred to Pacific Missile Test Center, NAS Point Mugu, CA.
    For weapons system integration work.

    April 1977

    Began testing Tactical Air Reconnaissance Pod System (TARPS).

    September 1989

    Ferry flight. Delivered to National Naval Aviation Museum, NAS Pensacola, Pensacola, FL.
    First F-14 placed on public display.
