    Constructed as a F-106A-CO by Convair at San Diego, California, USA.
    7th F-106 produced by Convair at San Diego CA

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 56-0459.

    2 January 1958

    To Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB CA (ARDC) Bailed to Convair for engineering/test support.

    Circa December 1959

    Was one of the two F-106s modified for Project Firewall, which set the world absolute speed record of 1,525.95 mph (2455.77km/h) Mach 2.39, surpassing the previous record of 1,484.3mph (2388.95km/h) set on October 7, 1959 in a Mikoyan Ye-6/3, a.k.a. Ye-66 (Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21F-13 with different engine) flown by Colonel Georgi Mosolov of the USSR by 34.63 mph (55.73 km/h).

    To Convair, San Diego CA for Test-To-Tactical upgrade.

    Converted to a F-106A-CO by Convair at San Diego, California, USA.

    23 March 1965

    Transferred to 318th FIS, 325th FW, McChord AFB, WA.

    4 January 1983

    Loaned to 5th FIS, Minot AFB, ND.
    TDY- attrition replacement.

    12 February 1983

    Returned from loan to 318th FIS, McChord AFB, WA.

    3 September 1983

    Last flight.
    Final flight at 318th with 5875.9 airframe hours.
