    Constructed as a Hawk Trainer III.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n L8353 and operated with these markings: FD-TE.

    From 15 September 1951 to 1 October 1953

    To W. A. Rollason Ltd, Croydon Airport with new c/r G-AMMC.

    18 November 1953

    To Waitomo Aero Club with new c/r ZK-AYW.

    14 February 1961

    To R G Perry keeping c/r ZK-AYW.

    July 1961

    To Piako Aero Club of Matamata keeping c/r ZK-AYW.

    2 September 1962

    Permanently withdrawn from use.

    20 November 1967

    To MOTAT, Auckland.
    During the original restoration by MOTAT, parts from ZK-ALO (c/n 332, ex NZ586) were incorporated.

    Based at Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT 2), Sir Keith Park Memorial Airfield, Auckland, Auckland, North Island.

    Markings Applied: L8353
    Displayed for many years beside the Pioneers of Aviation hall at Motat I in its wartime colour scheme as L8353, the Magister was removed from its hanging position and transferred to Motat II in 1987 when the first part new main display hanger was completed.

    2012

    Restored.
    For display in civil scheme.
