    Constructed as a RP-63C-2-BE.

    Circa 1943

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 43-11117.

    Converted to a QP-63G.

    Transferred to Hammer AFB, Fresno, CA.

    To United States Air Force Museum.

    24 June 1971

    Certificate of airworthiness for NX91448 (P-63C, 33-766) issued.

    From 1976 to 1979

    Loaned to Yesterdays Air Force, Chino, CA.

    From November 1979 to 1989

    Loaned to Bradley Air Museum/New England Air. Museum, Windsor Locks, CT.

    From 1982 to 1988

    This became a restoration project at Mooresville, NC.

    From 1985 to 1992

    To Yankee Air Corps/Charles F. Nichols, Chino, CA.
    The majority of airframe was sold to YAC.

    In the inventory of Yanks Air Museum, Chino Airport, Chino, CA.

    The remaining components 43-11117 were taken back by the USAFM along with two wrecks recovered from ex crash sites.

    Contracted to Malmstrom AFB Museum, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT for work on the airframe.

    From 1989 to 1992

    Restoration started.
    The YAC project started as a composite static restoration with the work being carried out at Malmstrom AFB, MT.

    Restoration continued.
    RESTCONT The restoration project changed to a restoration to fly. The work was carried out at Chino. Components from USAAF 44-4181 c/r N9009 were used in the restoration, and the ID of that airframe was adopted.
