    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 57-0119.

    January 1966

    To General Electric Flight Test.

    Used as engine testbed for TF39 and CF6.

    1972

    Permanently withdrawn from use.
    Put in long term storage.

    Notes: 57-0119 - NB-52E Stratofortress - Edwards AFB Aircraft in open store at Edwards since 1972 following tests on the TF39 and CF6 engines. Later broken up on site with explosive charges

    Seen at Rogers Dry Lake in three pieces after being blown up with explosives.

    Notes: Apparently its destruction was insisted upon by the Soviet disarmament team. For some reason it was blown up at the edge of the lakebed, and then just left there. NB-52E, 57-119.
