    Notes: Bradley Haskin Comments (22 December 2019): Chuck Lesche flew this at the 1995 Phoenix 500 races. It is a water-soluble purple wax that was spray painted on. The plane was sold to Stewart Dawson and is currently Spirit of Texas.

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the Reno/stead Airport (4SD) Reno, NV, United States while taxiing. The Lancair was holding position on the taxiway while awaiting takeoff when it was struck from behind by a Hawker Sea Fury. The Lancair pilot was stopped 500 to 600 feet behind a military C-130 transport aircraft in front of him to avoid thrust turbulence...
