    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 50-1253.

    The exact provenance is uncertain - N6747C quotes USAF Serial 50-1253 which was Cessna c/n 7603 - whilst N195JD also quotes Cessna c/n 7603 - both aircraft being live on the FAA Register at the same time.

    28 July 1959

    Certificate of airworthiness for N6747C (LC-126B, 50-1253) issued.

    24 February 1960

    Certificate of airworthiness for N195JD (195, 7603) issued.

    By 1963

    To US Army, Presidio, San Francisco, CA with new c/r N6747C.

    24 June 1964

    Involved in an incident.
    Summarized NTSB narrative from report for event ID 79792: There were no fatalities. Incident occurred at 14:45 hours. The damage was substantial. The engine failed or malfunctioned while cruising. Collided with trees during the landing rollout. There was a partial power loss with the failure of one engine. The emergency circumstances included; forced off-airport landing on land. Report remarks include: #1 cylinder studs failed. Incident occurred at or near Guin, AL.
