    Constructed as an AH-1G-BF by Bell at Fort Worth, Texas, USA.

    Circa November 1969

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 68-17085.

    November 1969

    Prepared for and transported to South Vietnam.

    March 1970

    To 166th Transportation Company, South Vietnam.

    April 1970

    Transferred to B Battery, 4-77th Artillery, 101st Airborne Division, South Vietnam.

    16 April 1970

    Damaged.
    AH-1G 68-17085 experienced a roll channel SCAS hardover while hovering out of a revetment, resulting in a hard landing that caused damage to the skids and cross tubes. The issue was traced to a roll channel sensor amplifier card that was out of zero.

    July 1970

    Transferred to D Co., 101st Assault Helicopter Battalion, 101st AB, Phu Bai, South Vietnam.

    April 1971

    To Army Aviation Systems Command (AVSCOM), Saint Louis, MO.

    May 1971

    To Army Aeronautical Depot Maintenance Center (ARADMAC), NAS Corpus Christi, TX.

    August 1971

    Transferred to 8th Squadron (Air CAV.), 1st Army, Fort Knox, KY.

    January 1972

    Transferred to Headquarters and HQ Co., 1st CAV., 1st Army, Fort Knox, TX.

    July 1973

    Transferred to 1st CAV. Division, 5th Army, Fort Hood, TX.

    October 1974

    Transferred to U. S. Army Depot, Corpus Christi Army Depot, TX.

    February 1975

    Transferred to Director of Supply, Corpus Christi Army Depot, TX.

    May 1975

    Transferred to Supply Divsion, 6th Army, Fort Lewis, WA.

    August 1975

    Transferred to 116th Aviation Company, 6th Army, Fort Lewis, WA.

    Converted to an AH-1F.
