    Comments

The Austria Aviation Museum is mainly a restauration workshop, founded and run by volunteers. The building itself is of aviation-historical significance: Build around 1944 as calibration tool for the adjustment of Messerschmitt Bf-109 cannons, the planes itself were build in nearby Wiener Neustaedter Flugzeugwerke. Heavy bombing during final months of WW II destroied most of the buildings, but this concret bunker survived and hosts now restauration projects (PT-13, T-6, Cub) and (parts of) a lot of planes for future projects.
