Airframe: Bowlus 1-S-2100 Senior Albatross Falcon, c/r G13763
Notes: Hawley Bowlus developed the Super Albatros from his Bowlus Super Sailplane. He drew inspiration from German designers, who led the world in sailplane design. This aircraft and artistic masterpiece dates to 1933. Hawley Bowlus was the factory manager at Ryan Aircraft in 1927, when Lindbergh was having his plane built.

Notes: Beautiful 1938 Golden Age propliner, the first of a series of excellent Grumman amphibians. From all the previous registrations, this aircraft has been around quite a bit and has led an interesting life before retiring to this museum.

Notes: Thousands of examples of this sailplane were built in Germany and occupied countries from 1931 to 1945. Many more were built after World War II throughout Europe, inspiring such designs as the Slingsby Kirby Kite, Slingsby Cambridge 1 and 2, and the Slingsby Type 21 two-seat trainer. This aircraft was built in 1944 and captured by the USAAF.

Notes: A single hybrid Grumman F2F/F3F, powered by a 1,000 hp (750 kW) Wright R-1820 Cyclone, for Al Williams, sponsored by the Gulf Oil Company for demonstration flights and aerobatic displays. The G-22 Gulfhawk II was retired to the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) in October 1948.
