Photos of roadside warbirds and museum collections are most welcome.
Photos of aircraft as they are currently displayed are great, but photos of airframes in previous markings, with past owners or during a restoration are fantastic as well. You can help document the history of airframes with photos!

Notes: By 1965 retired agricultural Tiger Moths were parked out at many airfields. They had little resale value back then, prior to the boom in the popular vintage and antique aircraft movement. Here Aerial Cropdusters and Sprayers Ltd of Melbournes VH-FAG sits in the weather at Ballarat Vic in February 1965

    Airframe: Avro Anson C.19-2, c/n 1351, c/r VH-RCC
Notes: Nicholas Air Charter sent their Avro 19 VH-RCC from Melbourne to join the SAAT fleet in Adelaide from September 1963. The Avro had been flown out from England the previous year by NAC manager Dick Cavill. Little charter work eventuated at Melbourne, so VH-RCC joined the SAAT fleet from September 1963, but again its large capacity failed to generate much freight or passenger charter work.

    Photo Date: In November 1965

    Date Uploaded: 12 December 2016
    Airframe: de Havilland DH-80A Puss Moth, c/n 2022, c/r VH-ABU
Notes: Puss Moth VH-ABU near Nhill Vic on the road to Adelaide in November 1965, towed behind my Ford Zephyr. Brenton Holt is in foreground, Arthur Perkins behind checking the ropes on the borrowed glider trailer. The weight of the airframe with engine proved too heavy for the trailer which suffered a structural collapse closer to Adelaide. This Puss Moth had been imported in 1930 by Queensland and Northern Territory Air Service (QANTAS) as VH-UPA, for their services in outback Queensland.

Notes: Someone said - There is an old plane in a backyard chicken shed in Thomastown. It was DH.80A Puss Moth VH-ABU, emerging into daylight as the rough covering was dismantled in the Melbourne suburb of Thomastown in November 1965. The aircraft had been acquired by Adelaide vintage enthusiast Bob Burnett-Read, and the West Beach Aviation Group volunteered to move it to Adelaide.
