    Assigned to Air Materiel Command, Jackson Field, MS for storage.

    January 1946

    Assigned to 4136th Air Base Unit, Air Technical Service Command, Tinker AFB, OK for storage.

    18 September 1947

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 44-68334 as a Q-14B.

    September 1947

    Transferred to 4145th Air Base Unit, Air Materiel Command, Holloman AFB, NM.

    March 1949

    Transferred to 2750th Air Base Group, Flight Test Division, Wright Air Development Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
    Operated with markings: QK-334

    From 1949 to 1950

    Modified and Used in TIPTOW wing tip experiments in 1949 and 1950 at Wright Field with C-47 42-23918 as the tow plane. 231+ test couplings (56 at night) with 17 pilots involved. Longest coupled flight lasted 4.08 hours (Joe Baugher). Primary Pilot was Maj. C.E. Anderson, P-51 Ace with 15 kills; 8 other pilots made fewer flights.

    Involved in an incident.
    Mid air collision with the C-47 due to mechanical failure 10 miles SE of Wright-Patterson AFB.

    To United States Air Force Museum, Patterson Field, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH with new c/r N10146.

    14 July 1961

    Certificate of airworthiness for N10146 (PQ-14B, 44-68334) issued.

    From 1967 to 1976

    To EAA Air Museum, Hales Corner, WI keeping c/r N10146.

    December 1986

    To Morton W. Lester, Martinsville, VA with new c/r N999ML.

    24 February 1989

    To EAA Aviation Foundation Inc, Oshkosh, WI keeping c/r N999ML.

    24 February 1989

    Based at EAA Airventure Museum, Whittman Regional Airport, Oshkosh, WI.
