    Constructed as a MiG-23S.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Voenno-Vozdushnye Sily with s/n 08 red.
    S/n also reported as 87.

    Sole MiG-23S deployed by the Soviets to East Germany. It was damaged during test and withdrew from use.

    March 1979

    To NVA Luftstreitkrafte (East German AF).
    As a ground instructional airframe.

    March 1979

    Transferred to Offiziershochschule der Luftstreitkrafte/Luftverteidigung (Air Force/Air Defence Officer College), Kamenz, GDR.

    Transferred to Militartechnische Schule der Luftstreitkrafte/Luftverteidigung (Air Force/Air Defence Military Technical School), Bad Duben, GDR.

    May 1994

    To Luftfahrthistorische Sammlung Finow, Finow AB, Eberswalde, Brandenburg.
