    Constructed as a P-86A-1-NA by North American at Inglewood, California, USA.

    1948

    Redesignated as F-86A.

    15 October 1948

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 47-0615.

    October 1948

    Transferred to 3345th Technical Training Group (later Wing), Air Training Command, Chanute AFB, IL.
    Became Ground Instructional Airframe.

    July 1955

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.

    May 1967

    Refurbished at Chanute and then moved to a pylon built by the village of Rantoul, north of town on U.S. 45, to commemorate Chanute AFB anniversary.

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.

    Loaned to Chanute Air Museum, Chanute AFB (formerly), Rantoul, IL.

    Relocated to Chanute Air Museum and repainted.
