    Taken from the bone yard by Grumman and modified as a testbed for new engines. Used by Grumman and Rohr for inflight thrust control with modified thrust reverser on tail.

    Transferred to Naval Air Training Center (NATC).

    18 January 1975

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 5F039.

    18 April 1976

    Permanently withdrawn from use.

    To National Naval Aviation Museum-Loan Program, NAS Pensacola, Pensacola, FL.
