    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 66-15229.

    To Bell Helicopter Company, Fort Worth, TX.

    1 November 1967

    To 355th Aviation Company, 4th Army, Fort Sill, OK.
    Might have been deployed to South Vietnam.

    3 February 1968

    Damaged.
    During a Close Air Support mission over South Vietnam, UH-1C 66-15229 was attacking at 600 feet and 95 knots when it took 8 hits from an enemy 7.62MM weapon. The helicopter was hit in the Left Side, wounding one of the crewmen and damaging the main rotor and fuel systems. Despite the damage, 66-15229 continued flight and accomplished all mission objectives.

    Transferred to 355th Aviation Company, 4th Army, Fort Sill, OK.

    28 May 1968

    Damaged.
    During a Recon mission for Armed Escort, Other Aircraft, UH-1C 66-15229 was attacking at 100 feet and 98 knots when it took 4 hits from a enemy 7.62MM weapon. The helicopter was hit in the Passenger Cargo Section, with the bullets passing through and damaging the main rotor system. The helicopter continued flight and accomplished all mission objectives.

    Transferred to OPM SEA NITEOPS, 1st Army, Fort Belvoir, VA.

    By August 1968

    Transferred to D Co., 101st ABN, South Vietnam.

    17 December 1968

    Damaged.
    During a Recon mission for Armed Escort, Other Aircraft, UH-1C 66-15229 was attacking at 250 feet and 70 knots when it took 2 hits from an enemy 7.62MM weapon. The helicopter was hit in the Bottom, damaging the flight controls and the armament. The aircraft was diverted prior to accomplishing any mission objectives and made a Precautionary Landing after clearing the hot area. It was later determined that the aircraft was capable of a one time flight out of the area. Search and Rescue operations were not required.

    April 1969

    Transferred to 189th Assault Helicopter Company, South Vietnam.

    11 May 1969

    Damaged.
    During a Close Air Support mission over South Vietnam, UH-1C 66-15229 was Attacking at 100 feet and 80 knots when it took 1 hit from an enemy 7.62MM weapon. The helicopter was hit in the Main Rotor Blade System, damaging it. The helicopter continued flight and accomplished all mission objectives.

    30 May 1969

    Damaged.
    During a Close Air Support mission over South Vietnam, UH-1C 66-15229 was attacking at 150 feet and 90 knots when it took 6 hits from a enemy 7.62MM weapon. The helicopter was hit in the Left Side. The helicopter continued flight and accomplished all mission objectives.

    Transferred to 79th Transportation Company, South Vietnam.

    March 1970

    To Army Aeronautical Depot Maintenance Center (ARADMAC), NAS Corpus Christi, TX.

    Transferred to 240th Assault Helicopter Company, South Vietnam.

    Transferred to 388th Transportation Company, South Vietnam.
