    Event

    From Circa 1917 to 1918

    Constructed as a FE-2 by Richard Garrett and Sons Ltd at Leiston.
    Nacelle constructed by Garrett and Sons but not used in the construction of a complete airframe.

    The nacelle frame remained with Richard Garrett Engineering Ltd.

    Circa April 1976

    On behalf of the owner stored with/at RAF Museum Reserve Collection and Restoration Centre, RAF Cardington, Beds.

    November 1987

    A project for construction of reproduction wings, wing struts, tailplane, undercarriage and other components started.

    From Circa January 2000 to April 2000

    To RAF Museum, RAF Wyton, Cambs.
    Nacelle sent to a temporary restoration facility at Wyton.

    September 2000

    Successful trial fit of engine to nacelle at RAF Wyton.

    October 2000

    Contracted to John McKenzie, Southhampton for work on the airframe.
    Nacelle moved to Southampton for conservation and construction of missing parts.

    30 October 2001

    The wings and tailplane were sent to RAFM Stafford, likely for storage.

    10 May 2007

    To RAF Museum, RAF Cosford.
    All components were collected together at Cosford.

    15 April 2008

    Contracted to Retrotec Ltd/Guy Black, Westfield, East Sussex for work on the airframe.
    Markings applied: A6526
    Restoration completed.
