    Constructed as a P-39Q-15-BE.

    Circa 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 44-2911.
    The airframe was not likely taken on strength with the USAAF but was rather a paperwork procedures for transfer to the Russian forces.

    January 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Russia Air Force with s/n 23 and operated with these markings: white 23.

    19 November 1944

    Forced landing on frozen Lake Mart-Yavr, near Murmansk, broke through ice and sank.

    August 2004

    Recovered by Jim Pearce from the lake. The airframe was complete and in good condition.

    11 January 2005

    Transported by ship.
    Arrived at the Felixstowe docks.
