    Transferred to Sacramento Air Materiel Area, McClellan, AFB, CA.
    Preparation for overseas movement.

    6 January 1956

    Transported by ship.
    Departed San Francisco for Japan as deck cargo.

    16 February 1956

    Transferred to 2723rd Air Depot Group, Kisarazu, Japan.

    28 March 1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Japanese Air Self Defense Force with s/n 62-7421.

    From 1961 to 1962

    Converted to a RF-86F.
    Converted with a K17 and two K22 cameras in a compartment under the forward fuselage.

    Transferred to 501st Reconnaissance Squadron, JASDF.
