    Constructed as a Hurricane IIB.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n LF751.

    19 March 1944

    Transferred to No. 22 Maintenance Unit (MU), Silloth.

    8 April 1944

    Transferred to No. 1681 Bomber Defence Training Flight.

    November 1944

    Transferred to No. 27 Operational Training Unit, Waterbeach.
    Operated with markings: FB-B
    Remained with No. 27 for the remainder of her operational life.

    July 1945

    New serial number assigned: 5466M RAF
    At Waterbeach was inhibited and relegated to instructional purposes.

    From 1956 to 1985

    To No. 11 Group, Fighter Command, RAF Bentley Priory.
    Spent nearly 30 years standing outside as gate-guardian of the Headquarters of No. 11 Group.

    20 March 1985

    Transported by ground. Delivered to Medway Aircraft Preservation Society.

    Restoration started.
    The work was carried out by the society.

    22 April 1988

    Restoration completed.
    Rolled out at Rochester in pristine condition ready to join her illustrious stable-mate in the Hurricane and Spitfire Memorial Museum Building.

    Markings Applied: BN230, FT-A
    Considerable research has gone into the finish of the aircraft and with the approval of the MOD the Hurricane is displayed as BN230 of the famous Fighting Cocks - No. 43 Squadron. BN230 was flown by Squadron Leader D.A.R.G. Danny Le Roy Du Vivier DFC, the first Belgian to command a RAF Squadron. BN230 was the first RAF fighter over Dieppe on 19th August 1942, leading the Tangmere Wing in Operation Jubilee.
