    Constructed as a Lynx HAS.2.
    One of the pre-production prototypes

    23 April 1974

    First flight.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Ministry of Defence with s/n XX910.

    September 1976

    During practice for its second Farnborough Air Show, in September 1976, it became the first Lynx to perform a loop.

    November 1976

    Flew HRH The Prince of Wales out to HMS Sheffield in the Solent.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Aircraft Establishment with s/n XX910.
    Never entered operational service though it had probably been involved in some of the early trials of the Sea Skua air-to-surface missile system at the RAE Aberporth range in Cardigan Bay.

    From Unknown to 1978

    Transferred to A and AEE, Boscombe Down.
    For trials of navigation equipment.

    1978

    Transferred to RAE Farnborough.
    Used for Seaspray radar and other avionics trials.

    Assigned to RAE Farnborough for storage.
    Kept as a source of parts for use on other airframes.
