    Constructed as a Scout AH.1 by Westland.
    This is the first true Scout prototype.

    29 August 1960

    First flight.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n XP165.
    Initially allocated for manufacturer trials.

    From 1963 to 1964

    Transferred to Yeovil.
    Used as a trial installation airframe.

    1964

    Transferred to White Waltham.
    Refurbished here.

    1964

    Transferred to ETPS, RAE Farnborough.

    1 July 1975

    To Historic Air Museum, Southend.

    8 September 1976
