    Constructed as a Wasp HAS.1 by Westland.

    29 March 1966

    First flight.
    Flew at Yeovil.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Navy with s/n XT443.

    Transferred to RNAY Fleetlands.
    Delivered to RNAY for modification to carry AS12 Missile.

    Transferred to No. 829 Squadron, Portland, Dorset.

    2 June 1970

    To HMS Lowestoft.
    Keir MacNally comments (March 2015): Assigned to HMS Lowestoft. I was flight commander HMS Lowestoft and date is from my logbook.

    17 February 1971

    Damaged.
    Sustained damage to tail cone requiring return to RNAY for repair.

    1979

    Assigned to RNAY Wroughton for storage.

    From Unknown to 1981

    Later overhauled at Wroughton.

    1981

    Transferred to No. 829 Squadron, HMS Aurora.

    1993

    Declared redundant.

    Assigned to Westlands for storage.

    January 1995

    To The Helicopter Museum, Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset-North, England.

    Restored.
    The work was carried out by museum volunteers.
