    Constructed as a Spitfire Vc by Westland at Yeovil.

    1942

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n AR501.

    1942

    Transferred to No. 310 (Czech) Squadron, Duxford.

    Transferred to RAFs Central Gunnery School.

    To Loughborough College.
    Used post-war by the college as an instructional airframe.

    1961

    To Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden Aerodrome, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire-Central, England.

    Restored.
    Restored to flying condition for use in the filming of the move Battle of Britain.

    To unknown owner with c/r G-AWII.

    Stored for a period of time after filming.

    Restored.
    Restored to authentic wartime condition by a volunteer team at Duxford. It was the only Spitfire in the world flying with an original propeller.

    From Circa December 2000 to Circa March 2001

    Repainted an elliptical wingtips fitted thus returning the airframe to the configuration it was in when it was delivered to 310 Squadron.

    Markings Applied: NN A
    Painted in the markings it wore during the time with 301 Squadron.
