    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 63-8320.

    Transferred to 8th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 49th Tactical Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem AB, Germany.

    Circa September 1966

    Transferred to 4525th Fighter Weapons Wing, Nellis AFB, NV.

    1967

    Transferred to 355th Tactical Fighter Wing, Takhli Royal Thai AFB, Thailand.
    Flew combat missions over Vietnam.

    Transferred to 388th Tactical Fighter Wing, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.
    Flew combat missions over Vietnam.

    From 1967 to 1970

    Transferred to 333rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, 355th TFW, Takhli RTAFB, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: RK
    Flew combat missions over Vietnam.

    Circa November 1967

    Maj. G. Guss; while clearing the aircraft of ordnance and racks in preparation for a dogfight with a flight of 4 MiG-17s, a MiG flew straight into the ejected racks and was destroyed. Date not certain. MiG kill not officially granted.

    19 December 1967

    Maj. R Huntley (Pilot) and Capt. R. Stearman (EWO) encountered several MiG-17s and fired at one hitting it. They claimed credit for a MiG kill but after a two year investigation, the claim was disallowed by Seventh Air Forces Enemy Aircraft Claims Evaluation Board.

    Maj. Dalton (pilot) and Maj. J. Graham (EWO) flying F-105F 63-8329 shared a MiG kill with an F-4D. Some histories erroneously credit this crew with a MiG kill while flying 63-8320.

    Converted to an EF-105F.

    Transferred to 17th Wild Weasel Squadron, 388th TFW, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: WW
    Flew combat missions over Vietnam.

    1972

    Converted to a F-105G.

    From 1972 to 1973

    Transferred to 561st TFS, 388th TFW, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: WW
    Flew combat missions over Vietnam.

    1980

    Transferred to 562nd TFS, 35th TFW, George AFB, CA.
    Operated with markings: Hanoi Hustler, three kill markings

    February 1980

    Ferry flight. Delivered to National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
