    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-92419.

    27 January 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n FZ658.

    By June 1944

    To No. 512 Squadron, RAF Broadwell.

    6 June 1944

    On the night of June 5, 1944, FZ658 was one of 32 Dakotas from 512 Squadron to drop paratroopers of the 6th Airborne Division behind enemy lines in Normandy for Operation Tonga, part of the larger Operation Overlord and D Day landings.

    Transferred to No. 48 Squadron, Chittagong, Bengal, India.

    By August 1945

    Transferred to No. 435 Squadron, Gujarat, India.
    Operated with markings: CANUCKS UNLIMITED
    When the war ended, this was the last Canadian aircraft to leave Burma.

    Transferred to No. 4367 Squadron.
    Participated in the return of Canadian troops from Europe.

    2 June 1946

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Canadian Air Force with s/n 992.

    From Circa 1950 to After February 1968

    Transferred to Air Navigation School, RCAF Station Summerside, PE.

    3 June 1970

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Canadian Armed Forces with s/n 12963 as a CC-129.

    By 1979

    Transferred to Air Navigation School, No. 429 Squadron, CFB Winnipeg.
    Operated with markings: Manitoba Flyer
