    Summary: The damage to the airframe was substantial. The cargo flight departed Panama City-Bay County International Airport, FL (PFN/KPFN), United States of America and was destined for Albany-Dougherty County Airport, GA (ABY/KABY), United States of America. The accident occurred at Donalsonville, GA (United States of America) while en route. The airframe was damaged beyond repair. Narrative: During cruise flight, at 5000 feet, the pilot heard a loud bang. The right hand engine was on fire and the engine was shut down...

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the Donalsonville Municipal Airport (17J) Donalsonville, GA, United States while cruising. The damage was substantial. The DC-3 experienced an in-flight engine fire and made a forced landing at nearby airport, following the separation of the right engine assembly from the airframe. According to the pilot, during cruise flight, at 5000 feet, he heard a loud bang and saw a reflection of fire on his left engine nacelle...
