The ferrying/positioning flight departed Santa Barbara Municipal Airport, CA (SBA/KSBA), United States of America and was destined for Missoula-Johnson-Bell Field, MT (MSO/KMSO), United States of America. The accident occurred at Florence, MT (United States of America) while en route. Narrative: Air tanker N924AU had been dispatched from its base in Santa Barbara, CA to Missoula, MT to support fire suppression efforts involving a number of large fires in the Northern Region...
