    Notes: Brandt Air Beech H18 N34AP at Honolulu unloading freight after an early morning bread delivery to Hawaiian islands Herman Brandt offered the ride, but warned that I would be helping the pilot with the loading and unloading !!

    Notes: H18 N34AP with factory trigear was originally delivered in 1967 to Japan Air Lines as part of an order for 7 for pilot training.A 1974 sale by JAL to Trans West Airlines in Australia fell through, and it was sold to Hawaii. Seen at Kauai August 1981.

    11 June 1989

    Crashed.
    There were 11 fatalities. The accident occurred at Waipio Valley, HI, United States while maneuvering. The airframe was destroyed. Scenic air tours flight 21 (beech H18, N34AP) was on an air taxi, sightseeing flight from hilo to kahului, hi. The pilot took off at approximately 1300 hst. After takeoff, flight 21 proceeded north-west along the coastline at an altitude of about 2000 feet...
