    Summary: The airframe was destroyed. There were seven fatalities. There were 6,457 hours on the airframe at the time. It was a local aerial work flight from Harlingen-Valley International Airport, TX (HRL/KHRL), United States of America. The accident occurred at Port Isabel, TX (United States of America) while maneuvering. Narrative: N16KL departed Harlingen for an aerial photo shoot. The mission called for a simulated water landing (an actual water landing was prohibited) by flying as close as possible to water...

    There were seven fatalities and were three serious injuries. The accident occurred at Port Isabel, TX, United States while maneuvering. The airframe was destroyed. Aerial photos were being taken of the mishap aircraft. Mission called for a simulated water landing (actual water landing prohibited) by flying as close as possible to water. Co-pilot at controls descended aircraft to about 6 feet, then gradually reduced clrnc to SIX-12 inches above water, airspd 105 mph...
