    Constructed as a F-106A-110-CO by Convair at San Diego, California, USA.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 59-0051.

    24 March 1960

    To 318th FIS, 325th FW, McChord AFB WA.

    15 July 1968

    Transferred to 48th FIS, Outside ZI (Korea).
    Deployed in response to the USS Pueblo incident.

    23 December 1968

    Transferred to 318th FIS McChord AFB WA.

    18 July 1970

    Transferred to 87th FIS, 343rd FG, Duluth IAP MN.

    28 May 1971

    Base of operations changed.
    K.I. Sawyer AFB, MI.

    From September 1976 to October 1976

    This F-106 was part of the team that represented the 87th FIS at Tyndall AFB during William Tell 1976.

    Command change from ADCOM to TAC.

    1 October 1984

    Doug Benjamin comments (16 March 2025): Represented the 87th FIS at William Tell 1984. Flown by Captain Don Bintz, was the only F-106 ever to score air-to-air gunnery hits against an Aerial Gunnery Towed Target System.

    22 August 1985

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number FN098.

    29 July 1993

    To AEL Inc, East Alton IL.
    For drone conversion.

    23 November 1993

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n AD255 as a QF-106A.

    28 January 1998

    Shot down.
    Shot down on 4th NULLO by an AIM-9M. This was the last QF-106 flight ever flown.
