    While aboard USS Hancock for duty in Vietnam, delivered supplies, mail, and replacements; carried Seamen on rotation, and the occasional wounded.

    Transferred to NAS Oceana, VA.
    Operated with markings: 790, OCEANA

    From By 1979 to 1983

    Transferred to USS Independence (CV-62).

    By May 1983

    Transferred to Fleet Logistics Squadron 40 (VRC-40), Norfolk NAS.
