    Transported by ship.
    Transported to U.S.A from Cherbourg, France, on the HMS Reaper.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 121447.

    From December 1945 to By 1946

    Transferred to Tactical Test Division, NAS Patuxent River, MD.
    Delivered to Patuxent River for flight tests.

    From 31 March 1947 to 1961

    Assigned to for storage.
    Stored at NAS Norfolk.

    From 1961 to By 1974

    To Smithsonian NASM.
    Placed in open storage at Silver Hill.

    26 October 1974

    Transported by air.
    Transported from New York, New York, to Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany.

    Restoration completed.
    Restored by Dornier in Oberpfaffenhofn, Germany.

    Unveiled at a public ceremony.
