From 2000 to 14 May 2003

Constructed as a P-51D.
At this point the airframe existed as collection of parts from USAAF s/n 44-73279 and contributed many wing and fuselage parts. This was combined with a Beck fuselage and Odegaard wing. Robert Baker spent weekends and nights over three years restoring, i.e. building, the airframe.

Finished in 1st place with an average speed of 327.402 mph.
