    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 45-35046.
    Aircraft was apparently not taken on strength by USAAF; s/n was allocated to this aircraft, but contract was cancelled due to end of war. Aircraft went direct to civilian hands.

    Certificate of airworthiness for N63373 (L-5G, 4628) issued.

    Involved in an incident.
    Summarized NTSB narrative from report number NYC69D0195: There were no fatalities. Incident occurred at 10:30 hours. The damage was substantial. The engine failed or malfunctioned while cruising. Collided with trees during the landing rollout. There was complete power loss in the failure of one engine. The emergency circumstances included; forced off-airport landing on land. Report remarks include: Checking thermal activity prior to glider tow. Engine not run since accident...
