    Event

    Constructed as a F-104A-10-LO by Lockheed at Burbank, California, USA.

    Circa 1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 56-0756.

    Transferred to MASDC.

    1963

    Converted to a NF-104A.
    Returned to service at Edwards AFB.

    18 June 1965

    Involved in an incident.
    Damaged when a rocket oxidizer exploded. A portion of the tail separated from the aircraft.

    Repaired.
    The Starfighter was repaired and returned to service.

    15 June 1971

    Involved in an incident.
    Suffered damaged from a second explosion where the whole rocket motor and part of the rudder was blown off the airframe in flight.

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.

    Loaned to 95 ABW/MU, Edwards AFB, CA.

    Portions of the airframe were used to create a composite airframe marked 760. It is/was mounted on a pole aht the Edwards AFB Flight Test Center.

    Placed on display with Nevada County Airport, Grass Valley, CA.
