    Constructed as a Ju-52/3mte.
    Manufacturer plaque from this airframe is missing so there is no absolute certainty as to its identity. However majority of researchers and Technikmuseum itself claims that c/n of this plane is 7220. There is also a small chance that it could be c/n 7196.

    To Lufthansa with new c/r D-AZAW.
    Named Hans Kirschstein.

    Circa 14 October 1941

    To Iberia.

    2 January 1942

    Assigned civil registration: EC-CAN

    1942

    Notes: At the Madrid-Barajas airport, Spain.

    To Ministerio del Aire.
    Markings added: 22-108

    Transferred to Division Azul, Spanish volunteer unit which served in Wehrmacht as 250th Infantry Division.
    Operated with markings: 22-108
    Used for transport duties between Berlin and eastern front.

    Circa May 1943

    Markings Applied: CJ+AC
    It is unclear if it actually served in Luftwaffe or remained in Division Azul with these markings applied for some reason.

    April 1944

    Aircraft returned to Spain.

    Civil registration EC-ABF reserved but not taken up.

    November 1945

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Ejercito de Aire with s/n T.2-108.

    New serial number assigned: T.2B-108 EdA

    May 1964

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the Ejercito de Aire.

    1965

    To Gesellschaft fur die Wiedererrichtung eines Verkehrsmuseums Berlin E. V. Berlin, Germany.

    1965

    Ferry flight.
    Arrived in Berline, but the museum was not yet open.

    Restored.
    The work was carried out by Lufthansa.

    Markings Applied: D-2201
    Painted to represent first tri-motor Ju 52 of Lufthansa airlines, named Carl August von Gablenz.

    July 1965

    Placed on display in Munich.

    From 1966 to By 1993

    On behalf of the owner stored with/at RAF Gatow, Berlin.

    1983

    To Museum fur Verkehr und Technik, Berlin.
    In 1996 renamed as Deutsches Technikmuseum and in 2001 moved to current location.

    Markings Applied: D-AZAW
    Original Lufthansa markings from 1941 were applied.

    Placed on display with Deutsches Technikmuseum (Berlin Technology Museum), Berlin, Berlin.
