    Constructed as a F-89D-40-NO by Northrop at Hawthorne, California, USA.

    Circa 1954

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 52-1896.

    1957

    Transferred to 412th CMS, Wurtsmith Air Force Base, MI.

    From Circa 1957 to Circa 1959

    Transferred to 132nd FIS, Maine Air National Guard, Bangor Air National Guard Base, ME.

    Converted to a F-89J.

    June 1962

    Involved in an incident.
    Airframe of Connecticut comments (29 October 2024): Underwent an incident while flying. Possibly dropped from USAF inventory? May have remained operational until 1969.

    1969

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Air Force.
    Possibly retired from operational service.

    To New England Air Museum, Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks, CT.

    Restored.
    Fitted with the tail of 53-2492.

    3 October 1979

    Damaged.
    Severely damaged due to a tornado, along with many other aircraft at the museum.

    Notes: The F-89 underwent restoration for static display starting in December of 2022. The restoration finished in Summer of 2023 and the plane is currently in outdoor display at the New England Air Museum, Windsor Locks, CT.
