    Constructed as an A6M2 Type 0 Model 21.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Force with s/n 5356.

    From 1968 to 1980

    To Bob Diemert, Carman, MB.

    1968

    Recovered.
    Removed from Balalae Island, Bougainville, Solomons. The wings were dismantled with an axe.

    From Unknown to 28 September 1968

    Transported by ship.
    The remains, along with two other zeros and a Val, were shipped to Port Moresby, PNG.

    14 January 1969

    Transported by air.
    Most sections were moved to Canada via a RCAF C-130.

    Restored.
    Rebuilt on the owners farm at Carman, MN, using the parts from the recovered wrecks. Was fitted with a Pratt and Whitney R1830 and drop tanks from a F-86.

    July 1973

    To DER Enterprises Ltd/Robert Diemert, Carman, MB with new c/r CF-GVT.

    1973

    To Tai Hei Kigyo Co, Tokyo, Japan.

    September 1973

    Damaged.
    The tail wheel came off during an attempted first flight.

    20 September 1973

    Damaged.
    Damaged when the first flight was attempted at Carman, MB. The tail wheel detached and the aircraft ran off the runway.

    October 1973

    A ferry permit was issued for a flight from Carman to Vancouver, BC. It was to be shipped from Vancouver to Japan.

    20 October 1973

    First flight.
    Flown at Carman, but the right gear collapsed on landing.

    August 1974

    To Kurt E. Driggers, Lake Havasu City, AZ.

    10 September 1974

    To Keat E. Griggers, Tucson, AZ with new c/r N62175.

    14 January 1977

    Civil registration, N62175, cancelled.

    From 1980 to 2005

    To Confederate Air Force, Harlingen TX, Midland, TX with new c/r N58245.

    In the inventory of Confederate Air Force, Harlingen, TX.

    First post-restoration Flight.
    Test flown at Carman.

    Restoration started.
    An airworthy restoration was started at Camarillo, but it was discontinued due to cost.

    In the inventory of Pacific Aviation Museum, Ford Island, Honolulu, Oahu, HI.

    Transported by ground.
    Moved from Camarillo to Chino, CA for a static restoration before shipping to Hawaii.

    Transported by ship.
    Moved from Chino to Ford Island, Honolulu, while still in overall primer.
