Raced in Heat 1B. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 173.99 mph. Raced in the Trophy race. Finished in 4th place with an average speed of 166.57 mph.

    Notes: Bill Stead and Miss Cosmic Wind are poised on the start line for a 190 cubic inch class heat race at the 1965 Reno Air Races held at the Sky Ranch. This was one of a series of photos that Bob Pauley took. One of the series ended up on the cover of Air Progress magazine.
