David Chappell comments (28 April 2020): The first aircraft allocated to 43 Squadron RAF (I do not think it was ever on RN strength). It had the designation A and was intially regarded as the COs aircraft. It spent the whole of its service on the books of 43 Squadron and during my time on the squadron (May 1970-June1971) was the aircraft I flew in most - 26 sorties.
