The aircraft made the first discovery that the Soviet Union was experimenting with Nuclear Power. It discovered the radiation of the Soviets first atomic test.

This is the B-29 known as the Lady in the Lake although it has never been marked as such.

Written off.
Suffered a ground accident at Eielson AFB in Alaska and scavenged for spare parts. Eventually carted away to a frozen water-filled gravel pit near the base and dumped there. The wreck is still there, partly submerged.
