    Constructed as a F-105D-15-RE by Republic at Farmindale, New York, USA.

    4 October 1961

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 61-0041.

    30 October 1961

    To 49th TFW, Spangdahlem AB, West Germany.
    61-0041 was the first F-105D delivered to the 49th TFW. It was piloted by Col. Wilbur J. Grumbles, 49th TFW commander.

    By November 1961

    Markings Applied: Kordel-Eden
    This aircraft was the 49th TFW C/O (Col. Wilbur J. Grumbles) aircraft. He named it Kordel-Eden after Kordel, Germany, and his hometown of Eden, Texas.

    24 November 1965

    Transferred to 4th TFW, Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC.

    22 November 1966

    Transferred to 4520th CCTW, Nellis AFB, NV.

    21 December 1967

    Transferred to 23rd TFW, McConnell AFB, KS.

    11 April 1972

    To 121st TFS, 113th TFG, Washington, D. C. ANG, Andrews AFB, MD.
    Markings added: DISTRICTofCOLUMBIA

    10 December 1975

    Withdrawn from use.

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
