    Ferry flight.
Flown from the Central Valley in California to Half Moon Bay, CA. Daniel Herlihy comments (7 August 2022): I went with my father and Ellsworth to prep the airplane for the ferry flight. I cant remember the exact location. Madera or Mendoda California come to mind, somewhere in the southern Central Valley. I remember that the airport diner had frog legs as a specialty. We drained some fuel, pre oiled it, pullled it through and lit it off. My dad ran it on the ground for about a half hour, put fresh fuel in it and we took it home. Ellsworth and I left the airport first in his Mooney and dad caught up to us minutes later. Even with the feet down that Fury went by us like we were standing still.

Notes: Daniel Herlihy comments (6 August 2022): This photo was taken by Ellsworth of my father John Herlihy flying the airplane home feet down on the ferry flight after purchase. I was with Ellsworth in his Mooney when dad came ripping by. Ellsworth had some stories about going back to Mother England for some engine parts for the Bristol Centaurus.
