    Constructed as a Sea Fury T.20.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n VZ365.

    Civil registration G-9-61 reserved but not taken up.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the West German Air Force.

    To DLB (Deutscher Luftwaffen Beartungsdienst) with new c/r D-CACA.
    Used for target towing.

    1972

    In to Eric Vormezeele (Belgium) for spares.

    Sold ca 1985 to Canada.

    Restoration started.
    The fuselage of this an ex-German T.20 target tug formed the basis of the restoration. Parts from Iraq s/n 241, Iraq s/n 314 and RN VZ365 were included in the restoration. The airframe was fitted with an extended bubble canopy, an R-3350 engine and a prop from a Skyraider.

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the Stephens County Airport (BKD) Breakenridge, TX, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. The pilot reported that prior to the accident flight and after the last annual inspection, the airplane had displayed poor (soft) braking qualities. This substandard braking capability required the pilot to pump the brakes to adequately decelerate on the ground. The pilot departed for a cross-country flight and did not lock the tailwheel...
