    Constructed as a L-2M.

    21 January 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 43-26592.

    9 February 1944

    To McFarland Flying Service Contract Pilot School, Atkinson Municipal Airport, Pittsburg, KS.
    Used for liaison pilot training.

    June 1944

    Assigned to Oklahoma City Air Depot, Tinker AAF, OK for storage.

    September 1944

    Declared surplus.

    1945

    To unknown owner.

    1945

    Restored back to civilian configuration, which included removing the rear greenhouse canopy and spoiler system.

    Ownership changed thirteen times.

    By 1986

    Withdrawn from use.
    It appears that the airplane was wrecked and completely disassembled for restoration, which was never completed. The project was found in a garage in the Central Valley of California. (EAA Warbirds Magazine Dec 2012).

    Restored.
    Restored to original Army configuration. In addition to restoring the airplane to original Army specifications per U.S. Army tech manuals, thefollowing vintage original equipment was located andinstalled in the airplane to make it as authentic a restoration as possible: RCA radio receiver and transmitter with trailing antenna, Western Electric microphone, U.S. Army Signal Corps receiver earphones, Morse code keyer, Champion Aviation Products wind generator, M-8 flare gun, Fyr-Fyter Model A fire extinguisher, canvas first aid kit, and map holder. (EAA Warbirds Magazine Dec 2012).

    From 2009 to 2011

    Toured many airshows across the USA.

    Ferry flight. Delivered to National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
