Lieutenant Russell and Lieutenant Junior Grade Johnson were strafing a target when the aircraft was hit by enemy fire. Lieutenant Russell was killed by a single round that entered the cockpit. Lieutenant Junior Grade Johnson returned the aircraft to Binh Thuy. |
