    Constructed as a V-1 AD Special.
    The sole V-1AD Special was used prewar by newspaper magnate Randolph Hearst. It later served airlines in Panama and Nicaragua before returning to the United States postwar.

    Operated with markings: Spirit of Pueblo
    It was restored and flown in 1971 by Harold Johnston from Colorado.

    Notes: Its an original 1935 VULTEE V~1A. (the only one left in the world) I was luck enough to get an hours flight time in my log book signed by the owner and restorer Harold Johnson
