    Transferred to 18th TFW, Kadena AB, Okinawa.

    18 September 1968

    Transferred to 388th TFW, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.

    By January 1969

    Base of operations changed.
    Flew from Takhli RTAFB, Thailand, during runway repairs at Korat.

    31 January 1969

    Flown on a strike mission in the Barrel Roll region of Laos.

    13 February 1969

    Flown on a strike mission in the Steel Tiger region of Laos.

    17 February 1969

    Flown on a strike mission in the Steel Tiger region of Laos.

    1 March 1969

    Base of operations changed.
    Returned to Korat RTAFB, Thailand, after runway repairs were completed.

    By April 1969

    Transferred to 34th TFS, 388th TFW, Korat RTAFB, Thailand.

    17 May 1969

    Transferred to 18th TFW, Kadena AB, Okinawa.

    From June 1969 to November 1970

    Deployed to Kwangju AB, South Korea, eight times during this time span.

    25 April 1972

    Assigned to SM-ALC, McClellan AFB, CA for storage.

    13 September 1972

    Transferred to 465th TFS, 507th TFG, AFRES, Tinker AFB, OK.
    Operated with markings: SH

    13 June 1974

    Damaged.
    After a training sortie, the aircraft suffered damage when the pilot attempted to open the canopy and broke the mechanism. The damages cost US taxpayers $35,000.

    From 12 May 1979 to 24 May 1979

    Deployed to Gioia Del Colle, Italy, under CORONET PALOMINO.

    13 November 1980

    Transferred to 466th TFS, 508th TFG, AFRES, Hill AFB, UT.
    Operated with markings: HI

    From 15 August 1981 to 29 August 1981

    Deployed to Skrydstrup, Denmark under CORONET RUDDER.

    By 1984

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.

    To Arnold AFB, Manchester-Tullahoma, TN.
    Dedicated in memory of Lt. Gen. Robert M. Bond. Maj. Gen. Bond, a former F-105 test and combat pilot, was killed in a crash at Tonopah, NV, on April 26th, 1984. Although the aircraft he was flying has not been publicly revealed, it is believed to have been a captured MiG-23 Flogger.
